Instead of flank steak, skirt steak can be used
Tamari soy sauce can be substituted with coconut aminos
Peanut butter can be replaced with almond butter
Oil the meat before grilling with about 1 tablespoon of olive oil
How to Prepare Thai Beef Satay
The recipe requires prep and cook time of 30 and 10 minutes, respectively. That means you require a total time of 40 minutes for preparing the keto Thai beef satay. Here is the step by step description of how to prepare the ketogenic meal:
1 – Cut the flank steak into 1.5-inch strips with a grain of the meat running horizontally across the strip
2 – Next, stick the skewers into the meat. Leave the handle long enough to hold while eating
3 – Coat all surfaces of the beef and mix fish sauce, soy sauce, and sweetener in a baking dish
4 – Sprinkle the meat with coriander. Let it marinate for 15 or 20 minutes
5 – Warm up the peanut butter in the microwave for a few seconds
6 – Next, stir in chilli garlic sauce, Thai red curry paste, and a sweetener with the peanut butter
07 – Slowly add coconut milk to the peanut butter mixture while stirring constantly
8 – Pour 1 tablespoon of oil over the beef and coat the entire surface with the same
9 – Fold a piece of foil in half and place it under the handles of the skewers while cooking the meat on the grill
10 – Remove the beef from the marinade and put it on the grill for cooking
11 – Grill each piece from both sides
12 – Serve the beef satay with Thai Chicken Coconut Soup, Thai cucumber salad or some regular salad with Asian dressing. Enjoy!
