The best thing about this dish is that it’s easy to prepare. You can use whatever type of tofu you prefer, but if you want to get creative, try using different types of tofu such as silken, soft, or extra firm. If you want to make this dish vegetarian, simply omit the meat and replace it with mushrooms.

Tofu is one of those foods that people either love or hate. For me, it falls somewhere in between. I enjoy eating it, but I don’t really know what to do with it. That’s why I decided to create this recipe. I wanted to find a way to incorporate tofu into dishes that would be both delicious and interesting. This recipe does exactly that. It combines tofu with Chinese ingredients such as soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, garlic, and scallions. These flavours come together beautifully to create a savoury, spicy, and sweet dish that is sure to please.

The first step is to drain and pat dry the tofu. Cut the tofu into bite-size pieces. In a wok or large non-stick skillet, heat the oil and add the tofu. Cook the tofu over medium-high heat until golden brown, about five minutes per side. Remove the tofu from the pan and set it aside.

The next step is to add half of the ginger and garlic to the pan and stir continuously for 30 seconds. Next, add the remaining ginger and garlic and stir for another minute before adding the soy sauce, sesame seed oil, sugar, and crushed red pepper flakes. Bring the mixture to a boil and reduce the heat to low. Continue cooking for 10 minutes.

The last step is to add the tofu back to the pan. Toss well and remove from the heat. Serve immediately over cooked rice, pasta, or noodles. Garnish with additional sliced scallions and sesame seeds.
