WHAT IS MATCHA?

Making a matcha iced latte at home has never been easier! All you need is some matcha powder, which consists of ground-up green tea leaves. The powder dissolves easily into warm or hot water – if you’re ever in Kyoto, Japan, Be sure to check out a tea house and pick up some lovely matcha green tea packets as souvenirs! Once you have the powder at home, making your iced latte is as simple as can be. Enjoying a cold and creamy matcha latte has never been easier! 

Ingredients required for Iced Matcha Latte:

     2, Teaspoons matcha powder

     1 to 2 tablespoons hot water

    1 cup warm water

    Ice

    Milk of choice (I used almond milk)

How to prepare Iced Matcha Latte:

1     Matcha, A type of fine green tea powder, is easy to make with just three ingredients: matcha powder, water and your choice of dairy or non-dairy milk. 

2    To make matcha, Start by adding, the matcha powder and 1-2 tablespoons of hot water to a measuring cup or bowl. 

3    Mix until the matcha is fully incorporated and it creates a thick paste. 

4    Then add 1 cup of water and transfer to the fridge or freezer so that it can chill for about 15 minutes.

5    Fill two glasses full of ice, pour in your milk of choice until it’s around ¾ full then add enough simple syrup if desired. 

6    Finally, stir the chilled matcha into each glass and enjoy!

Serve the Iced Matcha Latte Over Ice Cubes or Crushed Ice.

Now your Iced Matcha Latte is ready, Simply’ pop a few ice cubes into a tall glass and pour your latte over. If you prefer an extra frosty version, replace the ice cubes with equal parts of crushed ice and water. You can also add coconut water or almond milk for an additional twist or use cold-brewed matcha tea instead of hot to make a genuinely iced drink. Enjoy!
