Ingredients Required For moong dal on a Keto diet:

Prep time – 15 minutes + 6 to 8 hours of soaking time

Cook time – 10 minutes

Makes ~ 12 – 14 Idlis (medium-sized)

  Need EQUIPMENT

      1 Bowl
      2 Mixer 
     3 Non-stick pan 
    4  Teaspoon 
     5  Knief 

 

Ingredients: (1 cup = 200 ml)

 – Whole moong dal (with skin on)- 3/4 cup

 – Whole Urad Dal – 3/4 cup

 – Rice Rava (homemade) – 1/2 cup 



 – Raw rice – a handful

 – Salt – to taste

 Tempering:

 – Coconut Oil – 1 tsp.

 – Mustard seeds – 1/2 tsp.

 – Grated ginger – 1/2 tsp

 – Chopped green chillies/ground pepper – 1/2 tsp. 

How To Prepare Keto Moong Dal Idli:

1    Firstly we have to wash the moong dal and rice in deep water and then soak it in water in a large bowl for 3 to 4 hours.

2    After 3 to 4 hours grind it in an electric mixer and make a smooth idli batter.

3    Now add Rava in it and mix well till well combined and leave it overnight.

4    The next morning beat the batter and add a pinch of salt and mix well.

5    Grease with butter idli plates.

6    Take a skillet over medium-high heat and add coconut oil in it and add ½ teaspoon mustard seeds, ½ teaspoon Grated ginger, chopped chillies, and ½ teaspoon ground pepper and sauté well till well combined.

7    Now add this mixture to the batter.

8    Now we have to pour the batter into the idli plates.

9    We have to steam it for 10 to 15 minutes.

10   Serve hot
