In order to prepare these crispy French toast sticks, you need to begin by preparing a loaf of microwave bread.
Although in this recipe, we prefer to go for the rectangular shape, you can try different shapes depending on your preferences and the availability of microwave-safe dishes. The keto French toast sticks can be had with salted butter or maple syrup or with something else that suits your taste buds.

Ingredients required for Keto French Toast Sticks Recipe
For bread:
4 eggs
4 tablespoons olive oil or avocado oil or butter
1 tablespoon maple flavouring
1 teaspoon baking powder
3/4 cup almond flour
For coating/drench:
2 eggs
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/8 cup heavy whipping cream
[Optional] Maple-flavored syrup (sugar-free)
How to Prepare Keto French Toast Sticks Recipe
Bread:
1 – Add melted butter/avocado oil/olive oil, 4 eggs, and maple flavouring in a bowl and blend together thoroughly.
2 – Add baking powder followed by slowly mixing almond flour to the blend and continue whisking until a smooth blend forms.
3 – Pour the mixture onto a greased microwave-safe, rectangular dish.
4 – Microwave the dish for 3 to 4 minutes or until it is completely cooked through.
5 – Remove the bread from the microwave and divide it into 7 to 9 slices. Set aside.
Coating/Drench:
1 – Add 2 eggs, ground cinnamon, heavy whipping cream, and vanilla extract to a medium bowl and mix thoroughly until a smooth blend forms.
Cooking: Keto French Toast Sticks Recipe
1 – Heat a non-stick skillet to 290 0 F and use butter, cooking spray, or oil to grease it.
2 – Cook each side of the bread slices for about 1 minute or so until they turn golden brown.
3 – Serve warm with your choice of butter and/or keto-friendly syrup.
