Fried Okra’ is a classic Southern dish that’s savoury, crispy and delicious. This Keto-friendly version offers all the flavours of a traditional fried Okra dish with fewer carbohydrates. Perfect as a side Dish, or crunchy snack, It is sure to win over even the most devout okra haters. To make Keto Fried Okra, dip bite-sized pieces of okra’ in an egg & almond flour mixture, and then fry until golden brown for an irresistible crunchy texture. Ingredients required for Keto okra fry:

1    8 ounces of Okra’ sliced into ½” pieces

2    2, Eggs beaten

3    ½ cups finely ground almond flour

4   1 cup finely ground parmesan cheese

5   ½ tablespoon baking powder

6    1, Teaspoon Cajun seasoning sugar-free

7    1, Teaspoon sea salt

8   ½ teaspoons fresh ground black pepper

9   Avocado Oil if frying

How to prepare Keto okra fry:

1   To make fried Okra, you will need to beat eggs in a shallow dish, & then combine almond flour, parmesan cheese, baking powder, cajun seasoning, salt and pepper in a separate bowl for the batter.

2  Then dip each slice in a mixture of beaten eggs and almond flour before transferring it to a parchment-lined baking sheet. Repeat this step until all the okra slices have been coated.

Air Fryer:

1   Get your air fryer ready for some delicious fried okra! 

2   Preheat it to 400° F, & then spray the bottom with oil.

3  Arrange the okra’ in a single layer inside and spray the tops with oil to give them a nice crispy coating. 

4   Cook in batches if necessary, flipping halfway through cooking, until they’re golden brown or about 5-8 minutes in total. Enjoy!

Frying:

2   To prepare it, heat 2 inches of oil in a heavy pan on medium-high heat. When a drop of almond flour sizzles when added to the oil, The Oil’ is ready.

Notes:

1    Fried okra has been a traditional southern food for many years. To make the perfect fried Okra, You must start by cleaning it & removing any slime. Soak your okra in a bowl of lemon juice for about 15 minutes before rinsing and drying it off. After that, the recipe can be followed as directed for delicious fried okra!

2   To fry Okra, start by cutting the vegetable into ½-inch pieces, Making sure they are all approximately the same size. This allows for even cooking & also ensures that your fried okra’ turns out as crispy and delicious as possible!
